Summary
Chiyo Sakura give Umetarou Nozaki some new BGM to listen to as he works. Although he enjoys it, he immediately shuts it off the second she tells him that it is Yuzuki Seo’s voice.
The next day at school, Nozaki notices a couple of boys waiting outside the Glee Club’s door who are hoping to catch a glimpse of “Lorelei-san.” When he asks Seo why she is hiding her identity, she tells him that they imagined all kinds of things about her—therefore, she has decided to let them dream as much as possible before she crushes them. Nozaki can’t believe she would behave like this.
Nozaki runs into his kouhai from middle school Hirotaka Wakamatsu. When they’re walking home, Wakamatsu asks him if he would consider playing basketball again. Nozaki-kun refuses saying he’s afraid he’ll hurt his right hand which is the tool of his trade. Wakamatsu starts telling Nozaki-kun about his problems, especially Seo who has been showing up and driving the boys crazy. Because of that, he complains he’s now suffering from insomnia. Nozaki replies that if he’s having trouble sleeping, he should come over to his house for the night. Wakamatsu thinks this could be some time for them to have some fun, but Nozaki says he just wants him to help with some erasing on the manga.
When they’re about to start, Nozaki plays some BGM. He recognizes that it’s Seo’s song, the one that Sakura had previously brought over, and immediately stops it. He’s about to apologize to Wakamatsu, but he’s fallen asleep. In the morning, Wakamatsu begs him to give him that song by Lorelei-san. Nozaki wants to refuse, but when Wakamatsu promises to help with the manga, he hands it over at once.
Later on, Sakura is reading the secondary characters’ plot development in the manga. She wonders when the girl (who is developed from Wakamatsu’s personality) will find out that the boy (Seo’s personality) who is always helping her by telephone is actually the boy she intensely dislikes. Recalling who the two characters actually are, Nozaki declares he will do everything in his power to stop them from meeting.
