Summary[]
As a result of poor time management, Umetarou Nozaki tells Mikoto Mikoshiba and Hirotaka Wakamatsu that they would have to work until the deadline to get the manga chapter finished. Chiyo Sakura was not needed, because she had quickly finished the beta the day before, even though she claimed she would have to stay up all night to finish it. When Mikoshiba starts to feel tired, Wakamatsu attempts to boost his energy by wearing a tank top and bunny ears. When that didn't work, Nozaki attempts to draw Mamiko in a more appealing way. Mikoshiba comments that Nozaki had to make a lot of changes to Mamiko's design in order to do so. Mikoshiba then goes overboard with drawing half-naked characters by adding flowers in unnecessary spots until Nozaki tells him to stop. When Mikoshiba and Wakamatsu announce that they feel fed up with the work, Nozaki offers to cook a snack. Mikoshiba and Wakamatsu quickly stop him since he was carrying a cookbook for meals which would take 2 hours or more to cook. They realize that of the three of them, Nozaki was the most fed up with working. Nozaki then reveals that his brother Mayu Nozaki had been sleeping in another room the entire time, and asks him to help move furniture around to change the scenery. Eventually, Mikoshiba, Wakamatsu and Nozaki decide to teach Mayu how to draw manga in order to keep themselves awake, and make their work go faster. They teach Mayu how to apply screentones, which Mayu treats like a strength exercise. At 5:00 AM, Mikoshiba and Wakamatsu fall asleep, and Nozaki follows at 8:00 AM. The screentones are still unfinished when Nozaki falls asleep. Miraculously, Mikoshiba and Wakamatsu wake up at 2:00 PM to find the entire chapter finished, including the screentones. Mayu has sore legs, suggesting that he was the one who had stayed up to finish the screentones while doing squats the entire time.
